1 - Seems to me that the media controls who are viable Presidential candidate. The network news, major newspapers and talk radio can promote a candidate by simply providing coverage. Why should we allow these organizations to control who our Presidential candidates are. Seems to me that the voters with the power of the Internet could take that power away from the media. Seems to me that power should be with the voter. (more…)

Random thoughts on how to make the USA a better place.
1 -Seems to me that the Congress should work on substantial issues like immigration and the budget.
2 -Seems to me that if a borrower can’t make a payment on a loan, the lender and the borrower should deal with the consequences.
3 - Seems to me that Congress should balance the budget. If not, they should be fired. CEOs that can’t figure budgeting out get fired.

It has been far too long since my last post regarding my run for President. I have been spending considerable time contemplating my Core Values. In a previous post, I wrote about my first Core Value. Here it is again with some subsequent thoughts.

The past few weeks have been fascinating for me since I posted my desire to run for President. Many friends have expressed true interest in me running. Many have suggestions for my platform. Many have suggestions for my campaign. As I have told them all, my plan is to spend the next 5 years writing down my views. I do a ton of reflection because I am posting my views for the world to see. Below is my very short and unfinished list in no particular order. I will tackle each item as I have inspiration. I will constantly add to list.

I was thinking about the types of people I want on my staff and my cabinet. I need people of great passion and intelligence. I need a diverse group of backgrounds and philosophy. Most importantly, I need people who adhere to my Core Values.

For the past 20 years or so, I have wanted to be President of the United States. So today, I am starting my campaign. Over the next 4 years, I will be posting my Core Values, my Mission for my terms (4 years is not enough, so I will need 8 years), and my views on issues past, present and future. In a sense, this is what some call a “platform”. What is great about the Internet and this Blog is that we will be able to track how my platform will develop. How it will change and how it will not change.
